What is coconut?
Coconut yields oil, milk, water, sugar and flour. In the kitchen it is used for stews and baking; in cosmetics, the oil is applied to hair and dry skin.
How to choose it
For skin and hair, cold-pressed extra virgin oil; for high-temperature cooking, the deodorised one doesn't taste of coconut.
