Wat is wierook (Boswellia)?
Wierook of olibanum is de hars van bomen van het geslacht Boswellia. Het wordt in stokjes of hars verbrand om te parfumeren, de etherische olie wordt gebruikt in aromatherapie en cosmetica, en het extract van Boswellia serrata komt voor in supplementen voor de gewrichten.
Hoe kies je het
Bij etherische olie: vermeld de soort (carterii, sacra of serrata); bij supplement: het percentage boswelliazuren.
