What is evening primrose (Oenothera biennis)?
Evening primrose oil or primrose oil is obtained from the seeds of this plant and is rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). It is taken in capsules, especially by women, and is also used in cosmetics for dry skin.
How to choose it
Cold-pressed oil capsules; check the amount of GLA per dose. It is sometimes combined with borage oil.
